Hello Dear Community,

Below is a guide for Player & NPC Bots on the Neltharion Cataclysm realm.

First of all, the playable‑bot mechanism on Neltharion is of course very different from our Wrath realm or Sinmeowgra WoTLK.

System‑Controlled Non‑Playable Characters

The main difference is that on Sinmeowgra the ones being controlled are NPCs (Non‑Playable Characters). So those NPCs act as players and are then controlled by the system and their own class/role logic. Note that Neltharion Cataclysm also has this NPC‑Bot feature—roughly the same description/features as on Sinmeowgra—but with more limited options.

System‑Controlled Playable Characters

Meanwhile, Neltharion itself also provides Playable Characters controlled by the system—let’s call them Player Bots. This means registered players played by the system. Player Bots on Neltharion play an important role in automated queues such as Casual Arena, Battleground Queue, and Random Dungeon Finder.

How does a Player Bot start an automated queue? When a player requests to queue, several bots that are online (of any level) are immediately assigned to your request, and their gear and roles are adjusted to match your capability or the role you requested. If no Player Bots are available, the automated queue will not proceed.

When you invite a Player Bot, it will follow the party leader. Player Bots have their own “awareness” and cannot be commanded via slash commands or the like, so plan your strategy accordingly.

Balancing Adjustments

1. Because unlimited grinding is possible with Player Bots, restrictions on PVP and PVE have been applied for now.

• Conquest Points earned from Arena‑grinding queues with Player Bots have been reduced.
• The Conquest Quartermaster/NPC selling Cataclysmic items (bought with Conquest Points) will be replaced, or most Cataclysmic items will change their acquisition method—one of which will be via a Random Pure Player‑vs‑Player Solo Match Queue. This feature will be explained later when finalized—likely late April or early May; development is delayed due to the admin’s IRL issues. These restrictions honor PVP players and add value to Conquest Points, which should not be farmable through non‑rated paths (only through rated PVP—pure players without bots).
• LIMIT ON INVITING PLAYER BOTS IN RAID MODE. I have implemented this so real players engage in raid content. Currently you can invite a maximum of **three** system‑based Player Bots into your raid group. Exceeding that will just get you kicked and the group removed from the system (you might lose the instance save, so please comply). You can book a raid with a GM if you want; remember to message first because there’s only one GM—ask for availability :)
• This invitation limit applies only to system bots, i.e., Player Bots prepared or registered by the server.
• Player Bots have **no** stat nerfs ~

In the case of NPC Bots here, we rent the bot. Rental is counted per character login, based on the initial fee and scales with player level.

Currently a player can own only **one** NPC Bot. NPC Bots are not recommended for early character building—only for end‑tier characters.

1. Because realm compatibility with player bots isn’t perfect yet, when grinding BOE items please change Group Loot Mode to FFA, Greed Only, or Master Loot!
2. Always read the Realm/Server Rules—especially the Core Bot Features section.
3. Use Player Bots wisely, especially those invited via Random/Global channels.
4. Other rules—or current rules—may change at any time, depending on player feedback and other factors.
